“Which online sources do college students most frequently use in their written work?”

“What do students’ sources suggest about their approach to online research?”

This study examines the Internet sources K-12 education students use in their written work and the implications of their choices. It is based on an analysis of over 44 million content matches from more than 9 million student papers submitted to Turnitin between July 2011 and June 2012. "Turnitin is a deterrent, but it's also a great instructional tool. I really to want my students to become better writers so I explain to them: this is for you. This is for your benefit only. I'm trying to help you for college. I'm trying to help you for life."
