Ed tech funding saw again another rise in investment in 2014, continuing the series of rises since 2010 that traces a growing trend in the investment in technology in education. Given this trend, what do we know now about the efficacies of this investment for learning and student success?

Join noted ed tech researcher and futurist, Bryan Alexander, as he does a run down of the key promises and hype that some new technology and approaches have offered and shares his well-informed thoughts on where this technology (like MOOCs and LMSs) are headed.

Bryan Alexander is senior fellow at the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education (NITLE). He researches, writes, and speaks about emerging trends in the integration of inquiry, pedagogy, and technology and their potential application to liberal arts contexts. He is active online, combining research with communication across multiple venues and tweets steadily at @BryanAlexander.
 


Jason Chu is Education Director for Turnitin. His focus is on working to build resources for educators, and his personal passion is to find better ways to enhance student achievement.  He will be moderating this webcast.
