Many teachers understandably address plagiarism and cheating as things to be avoided, prevented, and punished, but preventing students from cheating is not the same thing as cultivating integrity.

Join us for this 45-minute webcast with ICAI’s Director, Teddi Fishman, as she discusses recent research on academic integrity and how it may shape honor codes and integrity policies from campus-wide and course-level approaches.

Presenters

Teresa (Teddi) Fishman is the Director of the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI). Previously, she taught at Clemson University. Teddi's interest in ethics and academic integrity dates back to her pre-academic career in law enforcement. Her work also includes analysis of online communication and the evolving rules and mores of virtual communities.
 


Jason Chu is Education Director for Turnitin. His focus is on working to build resources for educators, and his personal passion is to find better ways to enhance student achievement. He will be moderating this webinar.
