Turnitin Scoring Engine: A New Approach to Writing Assessment

With greater emphasis being placed on student writing both across the disciplines as well as across secondary and higher education contexts, educators are in even greater need for tools to help them effectively and efficiently score short answer test items or essay assignments.

Turnitin Scoring Engine works by automatically identifying patterns in previously-graded writing assignments to enable scoring of new writing assignments in seconds--facilitating the faster turnaround of assessment scores and data that support broad testing initiatives and help immediately impact instruction.

Join us for an engaging conversation with Elijah Mayfield, VP of New Technologies at Turnitin, where he’ll discuss innovations in automated writing assessment and how changes in technology are helping educators improve writing instruction.
