Presenters

Lisa LaBrake has been teaching for 25 years and is an English teacher at Sweet Home High School in Amherst, NY. Currently, Lisa teaches Public Speaking, Mass Media Analysis, and English 11. With her interest in infusing technology into lessons with her students, Lisa is often asked to teach her colleagues in staff development sessions. In addition to Sweet Home, Lisa taught at several private colleges as an adjunct in the Education department, bringing innovative, technology-based best practices to new teachers.


Kristin Brabec is the Education Manager for Turnitin. She focuses on Turnitin's training and professional development offerings, helping schools and institutions better use Turnitin to improve student learning outcomes. As a former teacher and educational technology specialist, Kristin is passionate about improving education through technology.
