What's the Story Behind Why We Write?
Writing X Tech | The Writing Mindset
“Writing is power.” In this session, we’ll consider the production of a given work of writing as a story that we tell. We often encourage students to think about writing as a process--how is it different to consider writing as a story rather than as a process? We will trace the ways in which writers sometimes include the story of the writing within the writing and the ways in which we can story the writing process with students.

Presenters
Adam Tramantano is a high school English teacher at The Bronx High School of Science and a doctoral student in English Education and adjunct instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University. Jason Chu is Education Director for Turnitin. His focus is on working to build resources for educators, and his personal passion is to find better ways to enhance student achievement. He will be moderating this webcast.
