Educators recognize that writing is an effective tool for evaluating student knowledge across the curriculum. Yet students tend to struggle with written assignments because they need more exposure to good writing practices. Students often fall short in their writing assignments because they fail to see writing as a recursive process of pre-writing, drafting, revising, and editing.
